Dr. Allen C. Jones went home to his eternal home on Monday, March 27th. He was a devoted husband, father and follower of Jesus Christ, his Savior. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Valley Stream, NY through his early years. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1968 during the Vietnam conflict where he served aboard the USS Kearsarge in the field of Aerial Photographic Intelligence. Allen was born into a Jewish family, was Bar Mitzvah, but later became a Born Again Christian and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In 1992 he received a PHD in Christian education from Freedom Seminary and University. He was an entrepreneur, business consultant, author and educator. In retirement he focused on his Christian service to his church and community. He was the Chairmen of the Missions Committee at Southwest Christian Church. His private ministry was Jesus Is Coming Back. He authored the book, “The Believers Almanac”, encouraging others in their faith. He along with his wife were Directors of Christian Home Ministry Partners, Inc. (C.H.A.M.P.), a non-profit that focused on feeding those in need. They did a monthly Food Pantry at their senior community. Allen was active in the American Legion serving as the Commander of Post 354 for 4 years in SW Ocala. He was a member of both Pine Run Estates and Top of the World Veterans Clubs and was currently serving as Chaplain of the Marion County Veterans Council. Allen never met a stranger. His ability to connect with those he met made him so special. His wit, personality and the ability to make others laugh will long be missed. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Betty Jones, His two daughters, Rebecca (Chris) Adkins of Ocala and Lauren (Douglas) Neal of Atlanta, and the joy of his live his four granddaughters, Katie, Grace, Hannah and Marci.

Memorial Services will be held on: Friday, April 28th at Southwest Christian Church, 9045 SW 60th Ave, Ocala at 10 am. Saturday, April 29th at 11am for Pine Run Residents at Pine Run Estates Club House 2, 9279 SW 101st Place, Ocala.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Interfaith Services, P.O.
