Amado Burgos Obituary

Amado Burgos, 80 of Ocala, Fl., passed away on March 8, 2024, at his home in Ocala. His wife Zoraida Burgos (Cruz), of 48 years, was by his side. He was born on September 18, 1943, in New York City, New York. In addition to his wife Zoraida, he leaves behind son Amado Burgos Jr., grandsons Malakai and Micah and granddaughter Jennifer. He also leaves behind many friends and family members.

Amado had a passion for math and loved numbers. He was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and loved watching them play. He was an Airforce Veteran and a true patriot. He was really into politics and kept up with what was happening with the country he loved and in the world. He was somewhat of a foodie and loved to eat different things especially sweets and desserts.

He was quiet man, but his love ran deeply for his family and friends. He was always there for them when he was needed.

The family would like to thank all those who have reached out with their loving support through their time of loss and all through the years. Amado will be honored in a committal service with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery, where he will be laid with his comrades in arms.
