Angel Manuel Mercado, fondly known as Angel to all who knew and loved him, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 41, in Gainesville, Florida. Born on August 21, 1983, in the Bronx, New York, Angel's charismatic spirit and generous heart touched the lives of many throughout his journey on this earth.

Angel is survived by his devoted mother, Rosita Gonzalez; his loving siblings, Rosita Mercado, Wilfredo Mercado, Santiago Baerga, and Israel Baerga; his cherished girlfriend, Teresa Pinkston; his adored children, Daviana Anderson, Angel Manuel Mercado Jr., and Thalia Nester; and his treasured grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Angel's memory will also be forever held in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Angel Mercado Sr., and his brother, Miguel Angel Mercado Jr., both of whom he held dear.

Angel's zest for life was evident in everything he did. A jack of all trades, he found great pleasure in working on various projects and fixing things, no matter how challenging. His hands were rarely still, as he was always on the move, eager to tackle the next task with enthusiasm and skill. Angel was the quintessential big brother, protective and caring, always ready to lend support or share a hearty laugh. His sense of humor was infectious, and his ability to light up a room was unmatched.

Above all, Angel was a family man, deeply committed to those he loved. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
