Betty was the beloved matriarch of a large and loving family. She is survived by her devoted children, Renee Rodgers, David Hughes, Donna Rhodes, Jessie Ray Moore and Kenny Roy Schmidt. Her legacy continues through her cherished 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will carry on her spirit of love and kindness. Betty also leaves behind her caring sister, Francis Tharrington, and her brother, Herman Brooks, along with a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Betty's life was marked by her passion for the simple pleasures. She had a particular affinity for crossword puzzles, which she approached with the same patience and attention to detail that she applied to every aspect of her life. A wonderful cook, she found joy in preparing meals for her family and took great pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming home.
