Branko Stimac Obituary
Branko Stimac, a cherished soul known fondly as Branko to his loved ones, took his final breath on December 20, 2025, in the comforting surroundings of Ocala, Florida. Born on August 19, 1937, in Glina, Yugoslavia, Branko's journey spanned 88 remarkable years, during which he touched the lives of many with his generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his values.
Branko's early years in Yugoslavia set the stage for a life of resilience and strength. His parents, Miroslav and Milena Stimac, instilled in him the virtues of hard work and dedication, which he carried throughout his life. Though he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Scott Michael Stimac, and his parents, Branko's legacy lives on through his son Brian of Ocala, Florida, and his adored grandchildren, Brandie Marie Stimac and Luke James Stimac.
For over two decades, Branko was a proud employee of GM Delco, where he dedicated himself to his work with a passion that was evident to all who knew him. His commitment to excellence was not just a professional attribute but a personal one as well.
Branko's interests and hobbies painted the picture of a life lived with vigor and joy. He had an enduring love for the game of golf, finding peace and camaraderie on the greens. His enthusiasm for NASCAR, especially his hero Dale Earnhardt, was infectious, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers during race weekends.
Perhaps one of the most significant aspects of Branko's life was his journey towards sobriety. It was a path he walked with courage and determination, and in doing so, he became a beacon of hope for others. Branko was a compassionate sponsor and mentor to many, sharing his wisdom and support with those who sought to follow in his footsteps of living a sober life.
Those who knew Branko were well aware of his kind-hearted nature. He cared deeply for others and expressed his love and generosity not only through his actions but also through his role as a loving and devoted father. Branko's warm personality was also evident in the simple pleasures he enjoyed, such as indulging in his favorite cookies during his well-deserved naps.
Above all, Branko loved America with a fervent pride. Having made the journey from his birthplace in Yugoslavia to the United States, he embraced his adopted country with gratitude and was honored to call himself a citizen.
As we bid farewell to Branko Stimac, we remember a man who lived his life with purpose and love. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and his spirit will remain a comforting presence in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Branko's story is one of triumph, compassion, and the enduring power of the human spirit. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He will be laid to rest at the Belleview Cemetery.
