Charles William Weeks Obituary

Charles William Weeks, known to many simply as Charles, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 78. He was born on November 9, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a genuine love for people.

Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and his service reflected the sense of duty and commitment that guided him throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as an interstate truck driver, spending more than 40 years on the road. He took pride in his work and in the responsibility that came with it, and he was known for his reliability, determination, and strong work ethic. Those who knew him understood that he was a man who believed in doing things the right way and giving his best in all that he did.

He was happiest when he could get a fishing line in the water, and fishing brought him a sense of peace and enjoyment that he cherished throughout his life. He also loved music, especially Gospel and older Country, and he found comfort and joy in the songs that stayed with him through the years. Charles had a sweet tooth and especially enjoyed dessert, which was one of the many simple pleasures he appreciated. He was straight forward in the best sense of the word, and he was known for his great sense of humor. He was a people person who never met a stranger, and his friendly nature made it easy for others to feel at ease around him.

Family was an important part of Charles’s life, and he leaves behind a loving legacy through those who knew and cared for him. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Hofacker and her husband Patrick, and Cheryl Noel. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Jonathan Mitchell, Gregory Studer, William Dixon, Justin Klipstein, and Julia Napiontek, as well as nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Carey Weeks and his wife Donna, and Sue Nichols, along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, David Weeks and Lavada Harris. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and now he is reunited with them in eternal rest.

Those who knew Charles will remember a man who worked hard, laughed easily, and treated others with honesty and warmth. His presence was steady and sincere, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life was one of his most enduring qualities. He leaves behind a legacy of service, perseverance, kindness, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

His life was a testament to the value of simple joys, strong character, and meaningful relationships. Charles William Weeks will be remembered with love and respect by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
