Born on March 17, 1949, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, Renee lived a full life characterized by her loving nature, kindness, and passion for her interests and family.

Renee's early years in Missouri set the stage for a life filled with love and joy. She spent her childhood surrounded by the nurturing presence of her parents, Leslie and Florence Schrum, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved daughter Raquel Matthews and brother Carl Schrum. Renee's legacy continues through her adoring family, including her sister Jayne Wood, brother Don Schrum, granddaughter Brooke Miller, and Denver Matthews, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

An avid lover of the beach and the exhilarating world of NASCAR racing, Renee found joy and excitement in the roar of the engines and the waves' gentle lapping. Her spirited nature was also evident in her love for playing poker, where she was known to engage in friendly competition on the World Poker Tour.
