Craig Colin Grubbs Obituary
Craig Colin Grubbs, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 68. Born on October 27, 1956, in Hialeah, Florida, Craig lived a full life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for bass fishing, and an endearing stubbornness matched only by the size of his heart.
Craig's journey through life was a testament to love and perseverance. He was a beloved partner to his wife Terry, with whom he shared 32 years of unwavering companionship and mutual support. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, creating a legacy of warmth and unity that will endure in the hearts of those they touched.
A dedicated father, Craig leaves behind a loving family, including his sons Nicholas Colin Grubbs and wife Ashlynn and Justin Arrendale; stepchildren Brandon Bettis and wife Amy, Holly Duke and husband Jason; and his adored grandchildren Matthew, Danica, Madisyn, Cole, Mason, Kai, Kael, Mariah, and Lochlan. Each grandchild was a sparkle in his eye, a joy in his heart, and a proud story on his lips. Craig's presence as a steadfast patriarch will be deeply missed, but the lessons he imparted and the memories he created will continue to guide and comfort his family.
Craig's life was also enriched by the camaraderie and respect of numerous friends and coworkers who became an extended family to him over the years. His ability to forge lasting bonds was a hallmark of his character, and the impact of these relationships was felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
An ardent lover of the outdoors, Craig found solace and excitement in the sport of bass fishing. On the water, he was in his element, casting lines and reeling in not just fish, but moments of tranquility and reflection that he cherished. His tales of the one that got away and the catches that didn't will be recounted with fondness and a touch of his signature humor.
Craig's life was one of balance, where his stubborn streak was always tempered by a big heart. He approached challenges with a mix of grit and kindness, influencing those around him to be their best selves. His character was a beacon of integrity and strength, illuminating the path for others to follow.
As we bid farewell to Craig, we celebrate a life well-lived. We honor a man who loved deeply, laughed heartily, and gave generously of himself to his family and friends. His legacy is one of unwavering commitment to those he held dear and a life that, though stubborn at times, was lived with immense love and compassion.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Craig Colin Grubbs will be held in loving remembrance by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His story does not end with his passing, for in each of us whose lives he touched, a part of Craig lives on. We will carry his spirit with us, finding comfort in the love he shared and the memories we hold dear.
