David Allen Demarest, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Weirsdale, Florida. Born on September 21, 1939, in Hackensack, New Jersey, David's journey through life was marked by his gentle spirit, his passion for the past, and the deep love he held for his family.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring love. He was a cherished father to his son Michael Alan Demarest, stepson Dale Wiliam Birch II and a doting grandfather to Courtney Miller (Phillip), Morgan Davis (Billy), Danielle Pena (Jose), Adam Demarest and Dale William Birch III, His legacy continues to flourish through his great-grandchildren Emily Davis, Selena Pena, Xander Pena, and Armani Demarest and niece Jane Storch and husband Chris. David was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Taylor Demarest, in December 2003, and by his beloved son, Davey Demarest. He is also proceeded in death by his brother Frank Demarest in 2017 and his sister in-law Carolyn Demarest in 2007.

Throughout his life, David found joy in the simple pleasures. He was an avid collector and exhibitor of depression glass, finding beauty in each piece's unique history and craftsmanship. His talent for upholstery was unmatched, and he took great pride in bringing new life to worn and cherished furniture. His eye for detail and his skilled hands restored countless antiques, preserving a piece of history for future generations to admire.

David's love for collecting and restoring antiques was a testament to his appreciation for the stories and memories that each item held. He was a familiar and respected face at trade shows, where he shared his knowledge and passion with fellow collectors and enthusiasts. His expertise was not only in the objects he cared for but also in the friendships he cultivated within the antique community.

Those who knew David will remember him as a man who was unfailingly kind. He was the embodiment of calmness, never raising his voice in anger or engaging in an argument. His presence was a soothing balm in a world that often feels too hectic. David was an absolute sweetheart, a title he earned every day through his actions and the warmth of his smile.

David's life was a tapestry woven with love, patience, and a deep appreciation for the past. His memory will continue to be honored by those who were fortunate enough to know him and by the beautiful objects he restored, which serve as a reminder of his gentle touch.
