David Walter Seelye, affectionately known as David, passed away on October 2, 2023, in Ocala, Florida. Born in Elmira, New York, on August 4, 1956, David was a loving family man, a great storyteller, and an old rock song enthusiast.
David was predeceased by his parents, James and Eleanor Seelye, sisters Sharon Crowley, Diane Harris, Robin Seelye, and brothers James Seelye, Randy Seelye, and Gary Seelye. He is survived by his daughter Tracy Dolan, granddaughters Kristina Oglesby, Serenity Dolan, Temperance Dolan, and Tamzyn Miner, and great-grandson Wyatt Stethers. He is also survived by his sister Diane Ghiai, brother Donald Seelye, Lucinda Burbank SeelyeMorrison, the mother of his children and special friend of 53 years, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Throughout his life, David was known for his unwavering love for his family. They were the most important part of his life, and he was always there for them when they needed him. Despite a long battle with sickness, Davidfought hard to stay with his family, demonstrating his strength and resilience.

David was a man of many talents and interests. His love for old rock songs was well known among his family and friends. He was often found singing these songs with a joyous heart, spreading happiness around him. He was also a great storyteller, known for his funny and thoughtful tales that often kept his family and friends entertained. His stories were not just amusing but also filled with wisdom and life lessons, reflecting his thoughtful nature.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, David touched many lives during his time on earth. His love for his family, his passion for music, and his storytelling abilities will be remembered by all who knew him. His ability to make people laugh, his thoughtfulness, and his unwavering resilience in the face of adversity are what set David apart.
