It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Dwight B. Littlefield, a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who passed on September 26, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 75 after a brief illness.

He was born on April 27, 1951, in Rochester, New Hampshire to J. Bruce Littlefield and Caroline R. (Hayes). Dwight attended North Berwick High School in North Berwick, Maine and graduated in 1969.

Dwight was an intelligent and kind man, a true jack of all trades who seemed to know how to do a little bit of everything. He built a successful trucking business as an owner/operator for 50 years. He was also a talented mechanic and carpenter. He loved his Fords ad Peterbilts, and when he wasn't on the road you would often find him in the shop working on his truck or one of the farm vehicles.

Horses were another lifelong love of Dwight's. As a younger man, he was a very accomplished rider and showman. His love and appreciation for horses stayed with him throughout his life. While he loved horses of all kinds, Appaloosas always held a special place in his heart. He and his wife had a successful Appaloosa breeding operation on their farm in Ocala.

More than anything, Dwight loved his family. His grandchildren held an especially big place in his heart, and being their Pop-Pop was on of the roles he cherished most.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Deborah Littlefield; his children, Christopher Calnan (Jennifer), Josie Cowburn (Stuart), Tanya Edwards (William) and Stephen Putnam (Jodi) and his 15 cherished grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and sister Dawn Morris (Michael) and niece and nephew. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Ricky Littlefield.

A celebration of life will be held honoring Dwight at a later date to be announced.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
