Esteban Rivero Obituary

Esteban Rivero passed away on August 28, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 72.

Born on October 6, 1953, in La Habana, Cuba, he lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew him. Esteban carried the values of resilience, loyalty, and humor throughout his life, and he will be remembered with deep love by all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.

Esteban spent many years working as a truck driver, a career he later retired from with pride. He truly enjoyed his time on the open roads, where he found purpose in the rhythm of travel and satisfaction in a job well done. His work ethic was steady and dependable, and he approached life with the same determination that guided him through his years behind the wheel. Those who knew him appreciated his strong sense of responsibility and the quiet strength he brought to every part of his life.

Beyond his work, Esteban was a man of simple pleasures and enduring passions. He loved watching soccer, especially the Miami Intern and Leo Messi, and he followed the game with genuine enthusiasm. He was also handy around the house and enjoyed taking on projects, using his skills to fix, build, and improve the things around him. Whether he was working with his hands or sharing a laugh, he brought energy and personality to every moment.

Esteban was known as a goofball with a great sense of humor, and his playful nature made him especially beloved among his family and friends. He had a way of lightening the mood and bringing smiles to those around him. His laughter and good-natured spirit left lasting memories that will be treasured for years to come. He was the kind of person who could make an ordinary day brighter simply by being himself.

Above all, Esteban loved his wife, Maritza, who was his soul mate. Their bond was one of deep affection, companionship, and enduring devotion. He cherished her with all his heart, and their life together was a testament to love, partnership, and mutual support. The love they shared was central to his life and will remain an everlasting part of his memory.

He is survived by his wife, Maritza; his mother, Elia Alvarez; his sisters, Mirvia Arroyo and Fe Rivero-Alvarez; his brother, Alberto Rivero; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Esteban Sr., and his son, Steven. His family meant everything to him, and he will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving son, caring brother, and proud family man.

Esteban’s life was one of faithfulness to the people and things he held dear. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his humor, his love of soccer, and the kindness he showed in everyday moments. Though his passing leaves a deep void, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His family and friends will forever carry with them the warmth of his presence, the sound of his laughter, and the example of a life lived with love and sincerity.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
