Gladys A. Billiot, graced this world with her vibrant spirit on March 22, 1949, in Houma, Louisiana. On February 1, 2024, at the age of 74, she passed away in Ocala, Florida. Gladys's life was a testament to the joy and beauty she found in the simple pleasures of everyday moments.

 She carried the essence of Southern charm throughout her life, weaving it into the fabric of every place she went and every life she touched. Gladys's love for painting was a reflection of the way she lived her life: colorful, bold, and with an undeniable sense of freedom and creativity.

Travel was one of Gladys's greatest passions. She believed in the power of new experiences and the beauty of unfamiliar places. Her fun-loving attitude and easy-going nature made her an ideal travel companion, and she often returned from her adventures with stories that captivated and inspired her family and friends.

Those who knew Gladys will remember her for the way she could light up a room with her presence. She was the type of person who got along with everybody, and her nurturing heart knew no bounds. Her generosity was as much a part of her as her smile, and she gave of herself freely and without expectation.

Family was the cornerstone of Gladys's life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her sons, Billy Yarborough and Joseph Yarborough. Her role as a grandmother to Jasmyn Dawson, Mercedes Dawson, Jamie Yarborough, Joseph Yarborough Jr., and Cheyenna Yarborough was one she embraced with every ounce of her being. The joy she found in her six great-grandchildren knew no limits, and she delighted in watching her family tree flourish and grow.

Gladys's departure from this earth is felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Yet, the imprint she left on the world remains indelible. In every brushstroke on a canvas, in every story of her travels, and in the laughter of her family, her spirit lives on.
