Glenda Penny Brower Maloy Obituary

Glenda Penny Brower Maloy, known lovingly as Penny, passed away on July 18, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 84.

Penny was born on December 30, 1941, in Clewiston, Florida, and she carried the warmth, grace, and quiet strength of her beginnings throughout her life. She was a woman of dignity and refinement, admired by those who knew her for her gentle spirit, her elegant sense of style, and the care she took in presenting herself. She was always well dressed and carried herself with a quiet confidence that reflected both her inner poise and her respect for others.

Music was one of the great joys of Penny’s life. She was a gospel choir singer with the First Baptist Church and traveled all over the world sharing her gift through song. Her voice and presence were a blessing to many, and her devotion to gospel music reflected the depth of her faith and the sincerity of her heart. Singing was not simply an activity for her, but a ministry and a source of joy that allowed her to connect with people across many places and walks of life.

Penny also had a creative spirit and a love for art. She enjoyed painting, and through her artwork she expressed the beauty she saw in the world around her. Her artistic nature was another reflection of her thoughtful and observant personality. She appreciated color, form, and detail, and she found fulfillment in creating something meaningful with her hands. Her artistic gifts, like her music, were a quiet but powerful part of who she was.

Those who knew Penny will remember her as a woman who was quiet and demure, yet deeply present and memorable. She did not seek attention, but she left a lasting impression through her kindness, grace, and steady character. Her life was marked by faith, creativity, and devotion to the people she loved. She valued family and carried herself with a sense of calm that brought comfort to those around her.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Maloy, Kelly Maloy, and Cheryl Kelly. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Christopher M. Maloy, Jade Maloy, Garrett Kelly, Wade Kelly, and Kayla Kelly, as well as her great-grandchildren, Christopher L. Maloy, Owen A. Maloy, Delilah Kelly, Danni Thompson, Mark P. Kelly, Veda Kelly, and Rayden Kelly. Her siblings, Cecilia, also known as CiCi, Pfeil, Sue Blinko, and Greg Brower, survive her as well. Each of them will carry forward cherished memories of her love, her example, and the many ways she touched their lives.

Penny’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith, family, and artistic expression. She lived with grace and purpose, and she shared her gifts generously with those around her. Whether through her singing, her painting, or her everyday presence, she brought beauty into the lives of others. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who loved her.

She will be remembered with deep affection and respect, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
