Gurney Ithama Williams, known lovingly to family and friends as Gurney, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 84.

Born on November 30, 1941, in St. Andrew, Jamaica, Gurney carried with her throughout her life the warmth, strength, and grace of her island upbringing. She brought those qualities into every chapter of her life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of quiet dignity, gentle spirit, and deep devotion to the people she loved. Her life was marked by kindness, patience, and a sincere desire to care for others in ways both large and small.

Gurney was happiest when she was caring for her family. She devoted herself to those she loved and found great purpose in being a caregiver. Her longtime friend Debbie also mourns her passing and holds dear the many memories they shared over the years.
