On October 25, 1953, Isaac Thomas Smith was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica to Sidney and Inez Smith. Growing up, Isaac pursued a five-year education in Auto Mechanics at a trade school, despite earning just a dollar per week. His foresight into the future benefits of this education was remarkable. At the age of 27, he relocated to Hartford, Connecticut, where he undertook various jobs before landing a position as an auto mechanic, a role that ignited his lifelong passion. In 1983, our paths crossed, initially as friends and client-mechanic.

Over time, our bond blossomed into an unwavering love. In 1989, we made the transition to Florida, where we eventually tied the knot. Isaac eagerly embraced the sunny Florida climate and pursued farming, tending to cows, pigs, and goats alongside his full-time job as an Auto Mechanic and bodywork specialist at International Autobody in Ocala, where he dedicated 25 years before retiring. Farming and automotive work were not only his professions but they were his true passions. With a vibrant personality and an infectious soul of positivity, Isaac always created an enjoyable atmosphere, delighting others with his humor and storytelling.

Isaac and I raised two remarkable sons, Terron Jones of Bronx, New York, and Isaiah Thomas Smith of Belleview, Florida. The bond between Isaiah and Isaac was unbreakable, and Isaac took immense pride in his sons, especially relishing the arrival of his first grandson, Tahj. On May 7, 2024, Isaac peacefully entered eternal rest, reuniting with his parents, Sidney and Inez Smith, and his brother, George Smith. We find solace in knowing he is now in God's embrace. His memory is cherished by his wife, Roslyn, his sons, Terron Jones and Isaiah Smith, his siblings, Ivy, Dianne, Jacynth, Iona, Annette, Marie, Beverly, and Frank, his mother-in-law, Norma Swift, along with numerous extended family members, friends, and acquaintances who held a special place in his heart.
