Janice McManus Hall Obituary

Janice McManus Hall passed away on February 13, 2026 in Ocala, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Dudley McManus;her mother, Velma McManus; and her loving husband Jim Hall. She “fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith” and is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.

Janice was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Her life was a testament of her unwavering faith in Jesus and her dedication to be the “hands and feet of Jesus “ as she served and loved others. She was a registered nurse for over 35 years and touched countless lives with her healing hands and compassionate heart. A Christian since the tender age of eight, Janice’s spiritual journey was marked by her active participation in her church, Foreign Mission Trips to Honduras and Campers on Mission as she traveled across the states, aiding churches and offering service to those in need.

Janice was a loving and nurturing mother to James E. Shields Jr. (Jamey), Pamela Shields Broussard Neal (Steven R. Neal) and Roland Hall(stepson). She cherished every moment spent as the beloved matriarch of the family. Janice’s legacy continues through her grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her, and she enjoyed a special relationship with each one. Grandchildren :Jes Shields, Luke Shields(Alyson), Joshua (JT) Broussard (deceased), Christopher Broussard (Ashley), Caleb Broussard (Macey), Timmy Broussard (Anna), Jake Hall, Sam Hall and her Great Grandchildren: Olive Shields, Levi Shields, Sierra Carlisle, Trina Broussard, Baylie Myrick, Falynn Broussard, and Bowen Broussard. Her sister Sheila McManus Crow, who shared a special relationship with her to the very end , survives her. Her family along with a plethora of friends will continue keeping alive the memories of the kindness and love Janice embodied.

Janice was a person of extraordinary character-loving, always kind and encouraging. Her gift of hospitality knew no bounds. Her home was always a welcoming haven for friends, family, and even strangers. Her heart’s desire to the end was that her family and friends would all accept Jesus as their her Lord and Savior and one day join her in Heaven.

While her passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, because she was loved by so many, the impact she made on this world remains. We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband Jim, her cherished grandson JT(Joshua), and the rest of her family that preceded her in death.

Janice’s story does not end with her passing, for her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dearly and the love she so freely gave. We celebrate her remarkable journey and the countless ways she enriched our lives. Janice Hall, a true servant of God, a dedicated nurse, and loving family matriarch, will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and compassion will continue to inspire and guide us always.
