Died peacefully at home on April 2,2025 in Ocala, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and

Hilda (Bezuitenhout) Boersma.

 

Born on April 23,1938 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She and her family later moved to New York traveling by boat in 1957. She was just 17 years old at the time.

 

She married Norman E. Moon on July 31, 1982 and settled in to the Moon family home on Phillips Lane in Milford, Pa. In 1984, she was naturalized and proudly became an American Citizen.

 

She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Order of Amaranth for many years. Until she retired and moved to Ocala Florida. Even though she was retired. She loved to keep active and worked as a part-time cashier at Publix in Ocala, Florida.

 

She is survived by her Step Daughters Felecia Moon, Wendy Dibble (Ronald), Granddaughter Norma Jean Martine and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman E. Moon, sister Margot De John and brother Henry Boersma. She is also predeceased by her first husband Robert Hayes and their son Gordon Alexander Hayes.

 

Funeral services and Interment will be held at a later date in Milford, Pennsylvania.
