John Norman Arsenault Obituary

John Norman Arsenault, known fondly to friends and family as Norman, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 72. Born on April 3, 1951, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Norman’s jovial spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many throughout his vibrant life.

Norman was the cherished husband of Eileen Arsenault, with whom he shared 43 years of love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and mutual devotion. He was a loving father to his son Christopher and Christopher's partner, Rob Atwood. Norman's unwavering love extended to his fur baby Bella, who was his loyal companion on many neighborhood explorations.

He was a beloved brother to ; Jerry Arsenault of Orange City, Florida; Ron Arsenault of Jacksonville, Florida; Kevin Arsenault of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; David Arsenault of Derry, New Hampshire; Michael Arsenault of Haver Hill, Massachusetts; Patricia Therrian of Allenstown, New Hampshire; and Teresa McClory of Derry, New Hampshire. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, John and Yvonne Arsenault, his sister Judith Arsenault, sister Carol Pilch, and brothers John and Richard Arsenault. His family will remember him as the beacon of joy and camaraderie that brought them all together.

Norman was a graduate of Lawrence High School in Lawrence Massachusetts where he excelled in hockey, a game he loved to play and watch as he grew older.  A licensed plumber by trade, Norman's work ethic and skill were as reliable as his sense of humor. His colleagues in the plumbing industry respected him for his expertise and his innate ability to brighten the workday with his presence. Norman's commitment to his craft was matched only by his dedication to the people he served.

Norman’s passion for life was evident in his love for all New England sports teams, with a special place in his heart for the Patriots. He never missed a game and could often be found cheering on his favorite team with as much enthusiasm as if he were on the field himself. Golf was another of Norman’s great pleasures, and he could be found on the golf course at least three times a week, sharing the greens with his buddies and enjoying the camaraderie that comes with the game.

A man of many talents, Norman also possessed a culinary flair, delighting in the preparation of meals for his wife Eileen and anyone fortunate enough to join them at the table. His cooking was an extension of his generous spirit, always seeking to nourish and bring joy to others.

To know Norman was to know laughter; he had a natural gift for humor and an infectious smile that could light up a room. His friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community, and he left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

Norman's life will be celebrated in the hearts of his friends and family, who will continue to honor his memory by embracing the laughter and love he shared so freely. Though he may be gone, the echoes of his laughter and the impact of his friendship will remain a comforting presence in the lives of all who knew him. Norman's journey through life was a testament to the joy that can be found in the everyday, and his memory will be cherished forever.
