John Irving Beauchamp II left this earth to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2026
after a fall. John was born January 22, 1938 to John Irving Beauchamp and Dorothy May Bender of
Palmyra, NJ. John graduated from Palmyra High School and a week after his 21st birthday married his
high school sweetheart Gail spending the next 66 years with his best friend. John worked for PSEG for
37 years reading meters before retiring in 1994. In their early years John had an extensive vegetable
garden and often worked a second job while still spending many hours with his 3 children. He served as
an Elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. After retirement John and Gail moved to Red Lodge,
Montana where they spent 27 years volunteering for the Chamber of Commerce. John loved his adopted
state of Montana and adored the views of the mountains from their windows. In March 2025 they moved
to Ocala, Florida to be near family.
John was preceded in death by Gail, his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Rev Harry
Collins and his great granddaughter Harper Joy Jonker. Surviving him are his children Gretchen 'Cheri'
(Jeffery) Behrens, John (Amy) Beauchamp III and Wendy (Michael) Lannon, his grandchildren John
(Nicole) Beauchamp IV, Danielle Behrens Carlson, Jenna (Scott) Jonker, Justin Behrens, Tom (Jessica)
Beauchamp, Joshua Beauchamp and 10 great grandchildren, niece Brenda(Jim) Culbert, nephews
Harry(Marie) Collins and Kevin(Carol) Collins.
John's funeral service will be private on March 6. Those who wish to may make a memorial contribution
to Grace Presbyterian Church in Ocala, Florida, Lamont Christian Reformed Church in Lamont, Michigan
or EW & Lucille Cates House hospice in Ocala, Florida.
