Jose Eladio Tumi Obituary

Jose Eladio Tumi, lovingly known as Pepe, passed away on September 4, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 68. Born on August 11, 1958, in Lima, Peru, he carried with him throughout his life the warmth, energy, and spirit of the place where he began his journey.

Pepe was a man who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a gift for bringing people together, and his presence could brighten any room. Outgoing by nature, he was often the life of the room, sharing his humor, his stories, and his unmistakable enthusiasm for life with those around him. Pepe lived a life centered on love, family, and connection. He was a devoted and amazing father, and he took great pride in his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Gabriella, Kimberly, Justin,  Carlo, Agnes, Fernando, Jackeline, Keni, as well as three stepchildren who were also part of his extended family. He was a proud grandfather to Adrian, Carter, Jossilyn, Juliana, and Ronaldo, and he cherished each of them deeply. His love for his family was steady and unconditional, and he found great joy in spending time with them and being part of their lives. He is also survived by his mother, Elena, his brothers Robert and John, and his sister Elena, all of whom shared in the love and memories that defined his life.

Family meant everything to Pepe, and he remained close to those he loved throughout his years. His relationships were built on loyalty, kindness, and a genuine desire to care for others. Those who knew him will remember a man who gave freely of himself and who made those around him feel valued and loved. Pepe enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and embraced them fully. He loved going to the beach and traveling, finding joy in new experiences and in the beauty of the world around him. He also loved cooking, and he took pride in sharing meals with family and friends. In the kitchen, as in life, he brought people together. His presence at the table was often as memorable as the food itself, because he understood that meals were about more than nourishment. They were about fellowship, laughter, and making memories.

Those who knew Pepe will remember his outgoing personality, his generous heart, and the way he could fill a room with warmth and energy. He had a natural ability to connect with people, and he made friends easily because he treated others with sincerity and respect. His laughter, his stories, and his joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply, in the values he shared, and in the many lives he touched along the way.

Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, the memories he created will remain a source of comfort and strength. Pepe will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave so freely and the happiness he brought to others. Jose Eladio Tumi will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love, gratitude, and affection by his family and all who knew him.
