Joyce Ellen O'Day (Guydan), 65, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. 

Joy was born on September 27, 1960 to parents John and Sarah (Sally) Guydan in Monongahela, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Ringgold High School in 1978. Joy went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She then moved to Louisville, Kentucky where she brought her only daughter, Tiffany, into the world. From there, she moved with her daughter to Ocala, Florida where she thrived in her banking career. Starting as a teller at Mid-State Federal Bank, through AmSouth Bank, and becoming a Corporate Trainer with Regions Bank. After retirement, she met her loving husband, BJ O'Day and they were married for four years. Through this marriage, she had the good fortune of adding BJ's two daughters, Bridget and Cassie, to her family.

Joy truly lived up to her name and brought joy to the lives of those she came in contact with. Before her health began failing, Joy was very involved in the women's ministry at Living Waters Church as well as volunteering at His Compassion Food Pantry. She had a heart for Jesus and for serving those less fortunate.

Joy is preceded in death by her father, John P. Guydan. She is survived by her husband, BJ, daughters, Tiffany (Charlie), Bridget, and Cassie (Josh), mother, Sally, sisters, Jan (Duke) and Judi (Ray), brother, Greg, grand children, nieces and nephew, and many family members and friends who miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026 at Lily Goat Farms at 5 PM.
