Judy Ann Lyman

Judy Ann Lyman, affectionately known to many as Miss Judy, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, in Ocala, Florida. Born on January 17, 1947, in St. Albans, Vermont, Judy's warmth and vivacious spirit brought joy to all who knew her throughout her 77 years of life.

Miss Judy dedicated her career to nurturing young minds as a public elementary school teacher. Through her years of service, she touched the lives of countless children, instilling in them a love for learning and a sense of curiosity that many carried with them long after leaving her classroom. Her passion for education and her commitment to her students left an indelible mark on the community.

Judy's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her zest for life and love for those around her. She was an avid player of games, with a particular fondness for Mexican Train, which she played with a competitive yet always friendly spirit. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in crocheting and piecing together puzzles, creating beauty and order from a multitude of parts. Judy's love for travel saw her exploring new places, while her enjoyment of golf provided many hours of pleasure and camaraderie on the greens.

Above all, Judy was a loving and devoted family woman. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Ryan and Kristen Lyman, and her cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Sydney Ryan, who will fondly remember their grandmother for her kindness, sweetness, and the unconditional love she bestowed upon them. Judy's role as a mother and grandmother was one she embraced fully, with an open heart and open arms. Her guidance and affection will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Judy's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, Gary Lyman, who preceded her in death after over 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared dreams. Judy was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Quebec, her brother, James Quebec, and her beloved dog, Abby, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Miss Judy's legacy is one of love, kindness, and gentle strength. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the lives she influenced. As we say goodbye to Judy Ann Lyman, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless ways in which she enriched our world. Her spirit, though no longer in our midst, will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars continue to shine even after setting beyond the horizon.

In accordance with her love for life and the joy she found in every day, Judy's family will gather with her friends to share memories and celebrate her life. Miss Judy's story is one of enduring love and the simple pleasures that make life truly precious.
