Julia Maldonado Santos, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 85. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on February 16, 1938, Julia's warmth and vitality were evident from an early age.

Julia dedicated her life to caring for others. As a registered nurse for over four decades, her compassion and expertise touched countless lives. She was a pillar of strength and comfort to her patients and colleagues alike, embodying the true spirit of nursing.

Beyond her professional achievements, Julia's devotion to her faith was profound. An active and devoted member of Parroquia El Buen Pastor in her hometown of Ponce, her commitment to her church community was a testament to her deep spirituality and belief in service.

Julia's zest for life extended to her personal passions as well. She found solace and joy in tending to her garden, an activity that reflected her nurturing nature. Her garden was not only a source of beauty but also a symbol of her ability to cultivate growth and life in all its forms.

Her love and dedication to her family knew no bounds. Julia was the best mother, always putting her sons, Miguel Vazquez and Omar Vazquez, first. She instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and love, which they carry forward as her legacy.

Julia's vivacious personality was complemented by her outgoing and friendly demeanor. She was known for her candidness and her ability to make friends wherever she went. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence could light up any room.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her two sons Miguel and Omar; her sisters Gladys Santana and Irma Rivera Santos; and her brothers Sergio Maldonado Santos and Johnny Santana Santos. Each of them will hold onto the precious memories of Julia's love, guidance, and indomitable spirit.She was greeted in death by her brother Alejandro Santana Santos, whose memory she held dear to her heart.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Julia Maldonado Santos will be deeply missed, but the love and joy she spread will remain as a comforting embrace to all who mourn her passing. Rest in peace, dear Julia, until we meet again.
