On Friday, April 7, 2023, Kay Frances McCarty Wetzel went on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, her husband, Gary Wetzel of Ocala, Florida, and her son, Tom Gregersen of Council Bluffs, Iowa.  She is survived by her son Mark (and wife Cathy) Gregersen of Ocala, daughter Melanie (and husband Tim) Warner of Ocklawaha, Florida, son Wesley (and wife Meredith) Gregersen of Inverness, Florida, and son P.J. (and wife Laura) Wetzel of Frisco, Texas.  Among their five children, Gary and Kay had seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  Kay was a homemaker, born to Kenneth and Claire McCarty.  She was first married to Richard Gregersen and had four children, and later married Gary Wetzel and adopted one more. They moved to Colorado and then finally to Florida where Gary had been a builder in Fort Lauderdale and Ocala for nearly 45 years.  A memorial dinner amongst family will  be planned for later this year.  Please contact timstrainrides@gmail.com or call 352-502-8479 for more information.
