Kenneth John Candreva Obituary
Kenneth John Candreva, known affectionately as Ken to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. Born on April 14, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, Ken's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and quiet strength.
Ken's early years in Brooklyn laid a foundation of resilience and integrity, qualities that would define him throughout his life. After bravely serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Ken continued to exemplify the Corps' values of honor and commitment in his civilian life. Though a hard worker, Ken's career was cut short due to disability, a challenge he faced with the same courage he brought to all aspects of his life.
Ken's personal life was rich with love and laughter, shared with his beloved wife of 53 years, Grace. Together, they built a family that included their son Christopher and his wife Michele, their daughters Michelle and her husband Michael, and Cheryl Bolling with her husband Tee. Ken's legacy continued to flourish through his cherished grandchildren – Ashley, Marissa, William, Christopher Jr., Michael, Christian, Sarah, Elizabeth, Anna, Makayla, Keanna, Katrina, Christopher, Aliyah, and Chasity – and his adored great-grandchildren Greyson, Nicholas, Audrey, Addison, Christopher III, Kaydn, Alyha, Aliyah, and Brielle.
Ken's interests reflected the man he was – quiet, contemplative, and deeply protective of those he loved. His extensive collections of stamps, comic books, baseball cards, and wrestling figurines were a testament to his love for detail and the simpler pleasures in life. He found joy and relaxation in assembling puzzles and was often found surrounded by the latest additions to his various collections.
Those who knew Ken understood his subdued personality was a cloak for the deep passion he had for his family. He was the silent sentinel, always watching over his loved ones with a protective gaze and a ready smile. His presence was a comforting constant, and his guidance was sought after by those who had the privilege to call him husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Ken's journey through life was a study in quiet fortitude, unwavering loyalty, and profound love. Though he has left this world, the memories he created, the values he instilled, and the love he shared will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. Kenneth John Candreva's story is one of a life well-lived, a legacy of strength, and an enduring example of the quiet heroes that walk among us. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were touched by his life.
