Kenneth Gregory Watts Obituary

Kenneth Gregory Watts, known affectionately as Kenny, was a beacon of joy and patriotism in the lives of all who knew him. Born on April 13, 2006, in the vibrant city of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kenny's spirit was as warm and welcoming as the island's famous sunshine. His journey on this earth came to a close on June 2, 2024, in Ocala, Florida, where his passion for life shone brightly until the very end.

Kenny's life was a testament to the values of respect, love, and family. Cherished son of Nathan and Alicia Watts, he grew up in a home filled with laughter and support alongside his brothers, Brandon, along with his wife Morgan, and Tyler. His grandparents, Bart and Mary Ellen Peterson, Cheryl and Mark Taber, Kenneth Watts, Elisa Bryant, and Lisa Watts, instilled in him a deep appreciation for his roots and traditions. Uncles Jeremy Watts, Andrew Peterson, Daniel Scheid, Alex Peterson and his wife Katie, and aunt Megan Young, together with a host of friends and family, will forever remember Kenny's infectious smile and boundless energy.

His high school years at Dunnellon High School were marked by dedication and service, as Kenny proudly participated in JROTC for three years. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and upon graduation, he carried that spirit with him into every endeavor. Kenny's work as a cook at Mission BBQ was not just a job; it was a reflection of his love for his nation and the people who make it great. Kenny's zest for life extended far beyond his professional pursuits.

As a motorcycle enthusiast and a gifted race car driver, he found joy in the roar of engines and the rush of speed. His skills as a mechanic were unparalleled, and he was always ready to lend a hand with a new project. His early years on the baseball field showcased his athletic abilities and his knack for teamwork and camaraderie. Those who knew Kenny will remember him for his sense of humor—goofy and light-hearted, always ready with a joke or a funny story. His respect for others was a hallmark of his character, a young man with an old-fashioned sense of honor that endeared him to many. Kenny's love was a gift he gave freely, and it will continue to be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to receive it.

Tragically, Kenny's life was cut short doing what he loved most. Yet, even in this sorrowful moment, we take solace in the knowledge that he is now reunited with his beloved sister Rosalie Watts in heaven. His passion and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire us, and his memory will serve as a guiding light to all who knew him.

Kenny's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever remain a part of the fabric of our lives. As we bid farewell to this remarkable young man, we hold tight to the memories, the laughter, and the love he shared with us all. His legacy is one of joy, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the values he held dear. We will miss Kenny's radiant presence, but we take comfort in knowing that his journey continues beyond the confines of this world. May we honor his memory by living our lives with the same courage, generosity, and warmth that he demonstrated every day.

A BBQ will be held honoring Kenny directly after the Celebration of Life, at Ocala Veterans Memorial Park 2601 E. Fort Kings St. Ocala, Fl 34470.
