LeRue Sarvis Sr., affectionately known by many as "Fishman Lee," passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Miramar, Florida, at the venerable age of 85. Born on November 17, 1939, LeRue was a man of exceptional character and vitality, whose life was as full and bountiful as the seas he so loved to explore.

LeRue's legacy is one of enduring love and commitment to his family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary, daughter Barbara Yanes, Siblings Richard "June Bug" Sherman, Donnie Ray "Big Don" Sherman, Lacy Sherman, Bonnie Green, Vivian Lawrimore, Frances Carloyn Sheman Jordan. He is survived by his devoted children, Oliver Parmley (Tonya), LeRue Jr., Mary Lee, Marvin Sarvis, and his brother Terry Sherman. Each of them reflects a part of LeRue's spirit, from his resilience to his boundless compassion. an His role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren—Chaunte, Frankisha, Franklin, Alexis, Alex Jr., Ashley, and Allison—was one of the joys of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. The delight of his later years was his twenty great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

LeRue's love extended beyond his immediate family to a caring and loving host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who are left to treasure his memory.
