Born on August 4, 1945, in Mayaro, Trinidad, Learie was a man of exceptional character, whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Learie's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, who were the cornerstone of his existence. He leaves behind a loving wife of 21 years, Michelle, and was a cherished father to Leroy, Kevin, Charlene, Sharena George, Micheca Hall, Mickale Foard, and Milynthia Solomon. His legacy continues through the lives of his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Learie was a beloved brother to Boxill George, Vernon Hamilton, and Andrew George. His nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family will fondly remember his kind soul and the warmth of his companionship.
Learie's professional life was as diverse as it was distinguished. He was a skilled mechanic, a trade that served him well throughout his career and personal life. His dedication to his craft led him to a valued position at Neal and Massy and Heinz Corporation in Pennsylvania, where he contributed his expertise and strong work ethic. In addition to his professional endeavors, Learie was a dedicated volunteer at Advent Hospital, where he offered comfort and support to those in need.
A faithful member of Wings of Faith, Learie's commitment to his spiritual community was evident in his participation and service. His faith was a guiding light in his life, providing strength and solace in times of need, and joy and celebration in moments of happiness.
