Maria E. Nazario, a beacon of love and tradition, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at the age of 74, in Ocala, Florida. Born on January 6, 1950, in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, Maria lived a life rich with devotion to her family, her culture, and the simple joys that create a life well-lived.

Maria is survived by her adoring husband of 52 years, German, who found in her not just a wife but a life companion with an unbreakable bond. She was a loving sister to Monin and Zory; cherished mother of Wanda, Naty, Maricel, Mabel, and Herman Jr., and a doting grandmother to 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  She will also be missed by her special friend of  54 years, Milta Gonzalez. Each of them was touched by Maria's warmth, wisdom, and the comfort of her nurturing presence.

Those who knew Maria experienced the depth of her commitment to family traditions. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where aromas of lovingly prepared meals mingled with laughter and storytelling. She was a master of her craft, cooking not only to feed but to bring people together, creating a legacy of recipes and memories that her family will treasure forever.

Maria's life was a testament to the strength and beauty of old-school values. She believed in the power of family, the sanctity of togetherness, and the importance of keeping cultural roots alive. Her grandkids were the recipients of her rich tales of Puerto Rico, her life lessons, and her unwavering support. Maria's influence will live on in the values she instilled and the love she so freely gave.
