Michael Bruce Hall Obituary

Michael Bruce Hall, of Ocala Florida, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 15, 2025 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Grdgon Hall of Ocala, his Mother-in-law Maria Swithers of Ocala, his Brother-in-law Jack Soto (wife Sherry) from Clearwater Florida, his three brothers, David Hall,(wife, Tanya) of Mechanicsville Virginia, Tim Hall (wife Shelia) of Mechanicsville Virginia, and Bill Hall (wife Mina) of Los Angeles, California, and his Aunt Pat and Uncle Fred Nichols of Troutville Virginia. Bruce was proceeded in death by his parents Herman E. Hall and Etta Mae Hall of Mechanicsville Virginia.

As a brother, Bruce was the eldest of four boys and the ringleader in charge of all fort building and tunnel digging. He stood a foot taller at all times and could bench press more weight than any other brother. He was fortunate to never have to wear “hand me downs”. He loved his roll as eldest brother and his brothers loved him in that roll.

As an uncle, Bruce was always fun to watch. There is a family favorite picture of Bruce holding four of the Hall grandchildren at one time, as their feet dangled around his knees. It seemed quite the balancing act! He was always asking great questions and was interested in his nieces and nephews lives. He was a proud Uncle.

As an employer, Bruce was a visionary that knew how to treat others with respect. Such a combination of gifts is rare. He knew how to get the job done and knew how to motivate others to complete jobs with excellence. He was never too busy to say hello or ask about your day.

As a church attender, he was excited to learn. All week Bruce looked forward to Sunday. He planned all getaways in hopes to make it home, in time for church. Then he would talk about the sermon all week to anyone who would listen. Sunday had definitely become his favorite day of the week!

His favorite things to do were appreciating great art, listening to music, flying airplanes, eating German Chocolate Cake and meeting new friends. He could do at least three of these things, at the same time. He never met a stranger. If you were walking into a restaurant, at the same time he did, you might be invited to join him for a meal.

He loved having a personal valet. Of course, he never knew he needed one. But, the moment he found Marilyn, life changed for him, forever. She knew his personality and his zest for life deserved HeyDudes shoes, designer pants, with gorgeous polo shirts and stunning blazers. She loved transforming his wardrobe and he loved being her Cinderfella. The two of them were so striking together, people would brighten up, just seeing them come into a room. What a joy to know, we will see him again, in more new clothes and in his heavenly home.
Bruce’s “Celebration of Life” will be held at Meadowbrook Church, 4741 SW 20th St, Ocala Fl 34474. September 8, 2025 at 11:00am.
