Otilio Soto Crespo Obituary

Otilio Soto Crespo, affectionately known as "Junior" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. Born on February 2, 1948, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Junior grew up to become a man of numerous talents and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of many around him.

Junior's professional life was marked by his exceptional skills as a mechanic and his craftsmanship in construction and carpentry. His hands were rarely still, as he was always found fixing, building, or creating. His work was not just a means to an end but a demonstration of his dedication to helping others and contributing to his community. Junior's colleagues respected him for his expertise and his generous nature, always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge.

A true hobbyist at heart, Junior had a passion for all things automotive. He found joy in cleaning his car, a ritual that was almost meditative for him. This love extended to old-fashioned cars, which he revered not just as machines but as works of art. His meticulous nature was evident in the way he built and painted model cars, a pastime that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail.

Junior's faith played a central role in his life. As a faithful member of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal MI Almirante Norte Vega Baja, he lived his beliefs through acts of kindness and his commitment to his spiritual community. His faith was a source of strength and comfort, and it inspired those around him to embrace life with hope and gratitude.

Those who knew Junior will remember him as a man who was full of life, always ready with a laugh or a joke to lighten the hearts of others. While he could be firm in his ways, his strictness was a reflection of his desire for excellence and order in all things. His presence was a beacon of joy and laughter, creating fond memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Junior leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his legacy. He is survived by his children, Sindy Soto and her spouse Jeremias Montanez, and Gilberto Soto and his spouse Lourdes Hernandez; his grandchildren Angel Pabon Soto, Natanael Pabon Soto, Gilbert Soto, Jeyka Ortiz, and Ruby Ortiz; and his great-grandchildren Dazaneil Pabon, Dyneliz Pabon Ortiz, Abimary Ruby DeJesus, and Joniel Ortiz. Each of them carries a part of Junior's spirit and will pass on the lessons of love, faith, and laughter he bestowed upon them.

As we bid farewell to Otilio "Junior" Soto Crespo, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His legacy will continue to inspire, and his memory will remain a guiding light for his family and all who knew him. Rest in peace, Junior; your laughter and love have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
