Patricia "Patti" Mahrer, a cherished soul known for her infectious laughter and boundless love, passed away peacefully in Ocala, Florida on June 29, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 2, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was a beacon of joy and faith throughout her life.

Patti grew up in the heart of the Midwest, where she developed a strong sense of family and community that would remain with her always. Her journey led her to various roles in her professional life, including memorable tenures at Coca-Cola and Marion County Corrections. Her work ethic and dedication to service were evident to all who worked alongside her.

A devout Catholic, Patti was a dedicated member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and St. Theresa in Belleview. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. She embraced the teachings of the Church, finding solace and strength in her beliefs.

Family was the centerpiece of Patti's world. She is survived by her loving daughter, Teresa Hilliary, her adored grandchildren, Austin Hilliary and Amanda (Jake) Courcy, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Riley, Bentley, and Hunter. Patti's siblings, Jerry, Mark, and Eileen, will also hold her memory dear, as will her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew Thomas and Mary Elizabeth McEvoy, her beloved husband, Robert Mahrer, and her siblings, Susan, Kathleen, and Stephen.

Patti's presence was a gift to every gathering. Her ability to light up a room with her bubbly personality made her the heart of many family and friend celebrations. Her grandchildren were the pride of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, filling their lives with laughter and love.

Her passion for life extended to her community, where she was known for her generosity and kindness. Patti's legacy is one of compassion and warmth, touching the lives of many with her unwavering spirit.
