Patricia Elizabeth Moon Obituary
Patricia Elizabeth Moon, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Ft. McCoy, Florida. Born on February 6, 1947, in Madison, Florida, Patricia's life was defined by her compassionate spirit, vibrant personality, and unwavering resilience.
Patricia's journey began as the cherished adopted daughter of Joseph “Joe” Hudson embarking on a path that would see her touch countless lives. Her early years in Madison laid the foundation for a life marked by love, laughter, and an enduring sense of adventure.
Professionally, Patricia dedicated herself to the field of nursing, a calling that allowed her to express her innate care and empathy. Her career as a registered nurse was characterized by her tireless work in the emergency room and within the corrections system, where her presence brought comfort and healing to many during their most vulnerable moments. Prior to her nursing career, Patricia's creativity flourished as a floral designer and business owner, showcasing her multifaceted talents and entrepreneurial spirit.
Patricia's interests were as colorful and diverse as her personality. Despite her petite frame, she possessed a larger-than-life character, complete with a stubborn streak and a sharp wit that endeared her to all who knew her. True to her nature, she found joy in gardening, fishing, and immersing herself in various hands-on projects. An avid reader, Patricia could often be found engrossed in a gripping murder mystery novel, her imagination alight with intrigue and suspense.
Living by a philosophy of resilience, Patricia never allowed setbacks to keep her down. She believed in dusting oneself off and forging ahead, a testament to her indomitable spirit. Her adventurous soul led her to embrace new opportunities and seek out the next great adventure with enthusiasm and courage.
While Patricia's dislike for cooking, putting away laundry, and enduring cold weather was well-known, her love for her cherished pug, Maximillian 'Max' Moon, was unparalleled. Max was, without a doubt, her favorite "child," and their bond was one of mutual adoration and companionship.
Patricia's legacy is carried on by her loving family, who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Marie Hunter, Angela Renee Hunter, Rebecca Elaine Dansby, and Kristina Louise King; her son, William Joseph Patrick Weaver; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Each of them will hold onto the lessons of love, perseverance, and joy that Patricia instilled in their lives.
Those who knew Patricia will find solace in the thought of her ultimate paradise: reunited with her beloved Max on a sun-kissed beach, fishing rod in the sand, and a mango margarita in hand. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones, as they remember a woman whose life was a testament to the power of kindness, humor, and unwavering strength.
Patricia Elizabeth Moon's story is not one of an end, but a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have on so many. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her on this incredible journey.
