Robert J Barron Sr. Obituary

Robert J. Barron Sr., affectionately known as Bob to his friends and family, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 80 in Ocala, Florida. Born on April 4, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, Bob was a man whose presence was as robust and enduring as his New England roots.

Bob's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his country and his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his nation with honor during the Vietnam War Era. His patriotism was a thread woven throughout his life, evident in the love he had for his country and the respect he held for his fellow servicemen and women.

Bob built a life filled with love, laughter, and the pursuit of interests that brought him joy. Golfing was more than a hobby for Bob; it was a passion. He could often be found on the greens, enjoying the game and the camaraderie of his fellow golfers. Fishing was another pastime that allowed him to embrace the serenity of nature, a quiet contrast to the golf course's friendly competition.

Bob's greatest love, however, was for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Kohen-Barron, with whom he shared the kind of love that others aspire to. His children Robert Jr., Bryan, and Tami, will carry forward the strength and kindness their father exemplified. His grandchildren, Michelle, Julia, Chris, Dylan, Bridget, Daniel, Steven, and Briana, will remember their grandfather as a man who cherished every moment spent with them.

Bob also leaves behind his brother, Ronny Barron, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss his guidance and humor. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Barron, grandson Joseph Barron Jr., and brother Lawrence Barron. The legacy of his generous spirit will live on through his family.

Throughout his life, Bob's character was a beacon of reliability and loyalty, traits that were appreciated by all who knew him. He was a man who stood firm in his convictions and who approached life with a sense of purpose and joy. Bob's laughter, his stories, and the wisdom he shared will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

As we bid farewell to Robert J. Barron Sr., we celebrate a life that was lived with honor, joy, and an abundance of love. His memory will be a guiding light to all who were touched by his kindness and a reminder of the values he held dear. Bob's journey through life was a testament to the enduring power of a life well-lived, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
