Sandra Mae Smith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Silver Springs, Florida on November 19, 2023. Born on November 4, 1962, also in Ocala, Sandra was a cherished part of her community and was known for her selfless spirit and loving heart. Sandra was best known for her unwavering kindness and acceptance. She had a remarkable ability to put everyone else first and was known for her generous and giving spirit. Despite her stubbornness at times, she was widely respected for her hard work and commitment to her family and friends. She was a woman whose love knew no bounds.

Sandra's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She had a profound love for fishing, a hobby that allowed her to enjoy the natural beauty of Florida's waterways. Her adventurous spirit also drew her to the thrill of gambling, while her love for fashion and trends made her a regular at local shopping outlets. But all of her interests, her most cherished role was being “GiGi” to her beloved grandchildren. It was a title she held with immense pride and joy. 
Sandra is survived by her loving husband Robert Smith, who stood by her side in every walk of life . Their bond was a testament of true love and mutual respect. Her four children, Denise Hall, Arron Hall(Jaime), Sabrina Appling(Shawn), and Ashley Smith.
Each of her children inherited Sandra’s strength, resilience, and loving nature, qualities that will continue to echo in their lives. In addition to her husband and children Sandra’s legacy will live on through her adored grandchildren, Elise Hall, Chloe Dollarhide, Arron Hall Jr., Esmeralda Smith, and Zenyia Royal. Each grandchild held a special place in Sandra’s heart and their memories of their GiGi will forever be filled with love, warmth, and joy. Sandra was the beloved daughter of Rose Ann Weeks, who survives her. Their bond was one of mutual respect and admiration, a relationship that was rooted in love and nurtured by shared experiences. Sandra’s loss will be deeply felt by her mother, but the memories they shared will provide comfort and solace in the days to come .

Sandra Mae Smith was a woman of extraordinary strength and unmatched love. She was selfless in every sense of the word, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and acceptance, values  that she instilled  in her family and those around  her.
