Thomas Robert Bolak Jr., known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida, at the age of 53. Born on November 23, 1970, in Nyack, New York, Tom's jovial spirit and steadfast work ethic were evident from his early years. 

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carmen  Gonzalez, and their four children, Ryen T. Bolak, Casey R. Bolak, Thomas R. Bolak, and Siarah Madison Bolak. He was a doting grandfather to Decklyn, Kane, Sofia, Kole, and Peyton Bolak, who will miss his playful nature and boundless affection. Tom was the cherished son of Thomas Bolak and Charlotte Hatala and a supportive brother to Renee and Susan. 

A craftsman by trade, Tom was a carpenter known for his skillful hands and readiness to take on any challenge. His family often joked that he was a "Jack of all trades and Master of None," a testament to his willingness to lend his talents wherever they were needed. 

Tom's zest for life extended beyond his workbench. He was an ardent lover of the great outdoors, with a particular passion for camping, fishing, and crabbing. His happiest moments were spent in the serenity of nature, often with a fishing rod in hand and his favorite music playing in the background. Tom's love for the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family, who were his constant camping companions.

Known for his outgoing and courageous personality, Tom was the life of any gathering. He was a devoted family man who managed to balance his role as a workaholic with being an attentive husband, father, and grandfather. His family knew they could always count on him for support, a hearty laugh, or a listening ear.

Tom's legacy is one of selflessness and joy. He was always the first to offer help and put the needs of others before his own. His generosity knew no bounds, and his ability to uplift those around him made a lasting impact on his community. Those who knew Tom were touched by his kindness and inspired by his unwavering positivity.
