Victor Luis Rivera, known to family and friends as Victor, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 64. He was born on May 4, 1962, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, hard work, service, and a strong sense of purpose.

Victor was a man of deep character and unwavering commitment. He was a very hard worker throughout his life and took great pride in everything he did. For more than 33 years, he served the City of Chicago Utilities Department, where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. While still working full time, he also started his own construction company, Premiere Construction, which he oversaw for more than six years. His accomplishments reflected not only his determination, but also his ability to build, lead, and create with skill and confidence.

Victor also served his country proudly as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His military service was a source of great honor to him, and he carried that pride throughout his life. Those who knew him understood that his sense of duty and discipline were part of who he was. He believed in responsibility, perseverance, and doing things the right way, and he lived those values each day.

Above all else, Victor loved his family. He was a devoted father who is survived by his children, Michelle Del Bosque, Adrian Rivera, Andres Rivera, and Sandra Rivera. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Cristian Rivera, Joshua Rivera, Layla Rivera, Bryssa Rivera, Liam Del Valle, Jacob Anguiano, Liliana Rivera, and Alayaah Enriquez. He is also survived by his brothers, Luis Rivera and Ernesto Rivera, as well as his beloved mother, Gladys Martinez. Victor cared deeply for his family and especially loved and cared for his mother, showing her devotion and respect throughout his life.

Victor had many interests and passions that brought joy to his days. He loved riding his motorcycle and would ride in the rain or shine, earning him the nickname Rainman. He was a proud member of the Latin American Motorcycle Association and served as a motorcycle instructor, sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He was a man who enjoyed teaching, mentoring, and helping others learn. He was widely known as a jack of all trades, and he was always willing to share what he knew with anyone who could benefit from his guidance.

Those who knew Victor remember him as a very direct man who spoke his mind and stood firmly by his beliefs. He had a strong personality and a clear sense of what he thought was right. His way was always the right way in his own eyes, and that certainty was part of what made him memorable. Beneath that directness was a generous spirit and a willingness to help, teach, and lead.
