William "Billy" Joseph Blackwell, known to many as Bobcat Billy, passed away on August 29, 2023, in Gainesville, FL at the age of 62. Born in LakeHurst, NJ on October 22, 1960, he lived a life full of passion, laughter, and love. 
 
Billy was a self-employed heavy equipment operator who was all about work, family, and having fun. He was known for his vibrant personality, being both friendly and funny, and his unwavering passion for whatever task he set his mind to. He lived his life to the fullest, doing what he wanted when he wanted, and how he wanted. A lover of the outdoors, he especially enjoyed riding his Harley and tearing stuff up, which earned him his affectionate nicknames. His work was a testament to his skills and dedication, making him a respected figure in his field. 
 
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, William Blackwell and Marie Cicerello and his brother Tommy Hendrickson. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Hutchins (Brad), and his son, William Joseph Blackwell II, fondly known as Joe. His five grandchildren, Katelyn, Rylee, Rikel, Ella, and Oscar Joseph, will remember their grandfather as a source of laughter and wisdom. His brothers, Carl, Guy, and Guerry. 

 
Billy also leaves behind a special friend, Mary Lou, who was a constant source of support and companionship. His love for his dogs, Marley, Roxanne, Sweetie, and his grand dog, Moose, was a testament to his kind and loving nature. Those who knew him will remember his larger-than-life personality and his ability to make everyone around him smile. 
 
Billy was a man who loved life and lived it on his own terms. His laughter, friendly demeanor, and passionate spirit will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. 
 
In the words of Billy Blackwell, he was here to have a good time, and he sure did. As we remember him, let's celebrate his life, his spirit, and the joy he brought into our lives. His legacy is a reminder to all of us to live life to its fullest, cherishing every moment, and making the most of what we have.
