Yahira Marquez Valera, fondly known as Yari, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2023, in Ocala, Florida. Born on November 22, 1979, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Yari lived a life filled with kindness, love, and dedication to her family and her work. 
 
Yari was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilberto Marquez and Ana Varela, whose values and virtues she carried throughout her life. She is survived by her children Yaricel, Jasmine, Victor, and Noraima Santiago, and her beloved grandchildren Anthony, Daylin, Aaliyah, Malina, and Kai. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters Nannette Marquez, Dinorah Marquez, Darilu Debi, and Tania Lopez, and the father of her children, Gerald Santiago.
 
Yari was a Certified Nursing Assistant by profession, a role she embraced with passion, dedication, and a deep sense of responsibility. Her love for her job was palpable, and she committed herself to providing the best care for patients. Her kindness and loving nature extended beyond her family and were reflected in her professional life as well.
 
In addition to her professional commitments, Yari had a penchant for baking and cleaning her house. She found joy in the simplest of things and expressed her love for her family through her delectable baked goods. Her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and immaculate cleanliness, reflecting Yari's love for order and beauty.
 
Yari was a pillar of strength and love in her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she devoted herself fully to their happiness and well-being. She was a good sister, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother, whose love knew no bounds. Yari's family was her world, and she was the heart of her family.
 
Yari was known for her beautiful smile, which was a reflection of her sweet and spicy personality. She had a unique ability to touch the lives of everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and love. She was a beacon of positivity, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
